Guardian ad litem Representation
In a child protection proceeding, a Guardian ad litem is appointed by the Court to communicate a child’s views and preferences, and to offer recommendations. The Guardian ad litem is an independent party to the proceeding, tasked with speaking with the child, and anyone who is involved with the child during the Court process, and providing these updates to the Court.
